I create full illustration packages for children’s books, from early sketches to final, print-ready artwork.
My process is designed for indie authors, especially those preparing books for self-publishing platforms such as KDP and IngramSpark..
Each commission covers the full illustration process, including character development, interior illustrations, cover artwork, and print-ready formatting. The package is designed so authors don’t need to coordinate multiple freelancers or worry about technical production details.
Price starting from $2,000 for a standard 24-page children’s book
(typically 12 full-spread illustrations).
Typical timeframe: 2–4 months, depending on scope and availability.

To provide an accurate quote, please describe the following in your message.
You don’t need to have everything decided yet — approximate answers are acceptable as a starting point.
1. Do you have a brief or script ready?
(Finished or still in progress.)
2. Estimated page count
For example: 24 pages, 32 pages, etc.
3. Illustration needs
Roughly how many illustrations you’re expecting and what types
(spreads, full-page, spot illustrations).
If you’re unsure, we can follow a typical picture book structure and refine this later.
4. Publishing plan
Self-publishing platform (KDP, IngramSpark) or other printing plans, if known.
5. Any visual direction or preferences
You can briefly describe the mood, style, or references in words.
We can discuss details further in my follow-up email.
Do you offer a sample page?
A paid sample illustration can be arranged once a project is ready to move forward.
This is intended as a short confirmation step before starting a full book commission.
Sample pages are not offered for exploratory inquiries or unfinished projects, but can be discussed once the book is ready to begin.
How does payment work?
Payment is structured in three milestones: an upfront deposit to begin the project, a second payment after the sketch phase is approved, and a final payment upon approval of the completed artwork.
Can you help if I’m unsure about illustration count or structure?
Yes. If you’re unsure, I can review your script and recommend a typical picture book structure, including illustration type and pacing.
What file formats will I receive at the end?
Final files are delivered print-ready and prepared according to your publishing plan, such as KDP or IngramSpark.
Specific technical details are confirmed during the project.
How do revisions work?
Each project includes two rounds of revisions at each stage, as defined in the contract before work begins.
Any additional revisions can be discussed and scoped separately if needed.
Do your packages include commercial rights?
Yes. All illustration packages include commercial usage rights, allowing you to publish, print, and sell your book.
Usage details are confirmed as part of the project agreement, so there are no additional licensing steps required for standard book publication.
